Nancy Stutzman (Keasey)

Nancy, age 77, was born on September 7, 1942 to Walter and Theo Stutzman in Peabody, KS. She passed away on November 30, 2019 in Peabody, KS.

Nancy graduated from Newton High School. She worked at Kansas State Bank and Ever Ready Cab Company, both in Newton, KS, then at Agco in Hesston, KS before moving to Arizona. For most of the 25 years, Nancy lived in Arizona, she worked at Furr's Cafeteria. Nancy moved to Peabody to be closer to family.

Nancy enjoyed visits from friends and family. Her dog, Maggie kept her busy as well. She loved to cook for her family and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She made many hand stitched quilts for her close friends and family. She showed several quilts and even sold some of them.

Nancy is survived by one daughter, Lori Peterson; five sons, Troy (Sonia) Peterson, Tim Peterson, Toby Peterson, Terry Peterson, and Chris Peterson; two sisters, Eileen (Harold) Wonders and Barbara Tyler; first husband, Lennice Peterson; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Stutzman and Theo (Jim) Lawler; second husband, Merritt Keasey; brother, Ted Stutzman; brother-in-law, Charles Tyler; nephew, Tracy Crandall; and grandson, Jeffrey Peterson.

Nancy will be laid to rest at Restlawn Cemetery with her mother, at a private memorial with family and close friends. In lieu of cards and flowers, memorials may be made to Pima County Humane Society or a local shelter.
